Each year we close Las Vegas Boulevard for America’s Party. Las Vegas is expecting crowds in the range of 400,000 people on The Strip as we ring in 2020 and it’s important to know how this massive event will affect you.
Again, Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed and assume heavy traffic and both a large local and tourist presence for Strip properties and downtown.
Tuesday, Dec. 31st around 5 p.m. the Nevada Department of Transportation will close the north and southbound off-ramps along I- 15, between Tropicana and Spring Mountain. However, Sahara and Russell Road will still be open for Eastbound exits.
The Nevada Department of Transportation will also restrict acceess at these locations:
- Las Vegas Boulevard Northbound at Mandalay Bay.
- Las Vegas Boulevard Southbound at Sahara.
- Tropicana Avenue Westbound at Koval Lane.
- Tropicana Avenue Eastbound at Industrial/Dean Martin Drive.
- Flamingo Road Eastbound at Valley View Boulevard
- The right lane on Sahara Eastbound at I-15 will be reduced to one lane to allow a dedicated turn lane from the off-ramp at I-15 Northbound to Sahara Eastbound.
Be safe and have fun!
