A user on Quora posed this question to me and yes it can matter, allow me to expand.
Cheating Spouses
It’s not uncommon for visitors to stray. I can personally speak of a gentleman who hired two escorts that later robbed him of his wallet, watch, and over $10,000 in chips while he was in the shower. He reported the event to casino security who, as required, stated they would need to contact Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. Which meant what happened would be known by his wife. What happened did matter. I’ll have you know he didn’t report it to police.
Gamblers
I can speak to a gentleman I knew who spent his entire payroll trying to “win back losses” from a previous gambling session. His wife was NOT happy.
Law Breakers
It is not uncommon for tourists not to realize prostitution is NOT legal in Clark County, you are not allowed to travel The Strip with your head and arms out the moon roof of a limousine, and don’t get into physical altercations at bars or anywhere else. Getting arrested is very expensive and the legal woes last long after leaving Las Vegas.
Not always, but yes, what happens can matter.
